Dialogue 1
甲：你的藏书真不少。
jiǎ ： nǐ de cáng shū zhēn bù shǎo 。
乙：你知道的，我喜欢收集书。
yǐ ： nǐ zhī dào de ，wǒ xǐ huān shōu jí shū 。
甲：这个爱好不错。
jiǎ ：zhè gè ài hào bù cuò 。
乙：是的。可是现在书真是太贵了。我月收入的三分之一都买书了。
yǐ ：shì de 。kě shì xiàn zài shū zhēn shì tài guì le 。wǒ yuè shōu rù de sān fēn zhī yī dōu mǎi shū le 。
甲：那是值得的。
jiǎ ： nà shì zhí de de 。
乙：你的判断跟我的一样。
yǐ ： nǐ de pàn duàn gēn wǒ de yí yàng 。
A: You have a large collection of books.
B: You've got it. I enjoy collecting books.
A: That's a good hobby.
B: It is. But books are really expensive these days. One third of my monthly pay goes to them.
A: That's worthwhile.
B: Your judgment is as good as mine.
Dialogue 2
甲：爱玛，你的女儿跟你住在一起吗？
jiǎ ：ài ma ，nǐ de nǚ ér gēn nǐ zhù zài yì qǐ ma ？
乙：不。她现在在大连跟她的爷爷奶奶住一起。
yǐ ：bù 。tā xiàn zài zài dà lián gēn tā de yé ye nǎi nɑi zhù yì qǐ 。
甲：你想她吗？
jiǎ ： nǐ xiǎng tā ma ？
乙：我当然想。她很可爱。我想她的时候就打电话给她。
yǐ ： wǒ dāng rán xiǎng 。tā hěn kě ài 。wǒ xiǎng tā de shí hòu jiù dǎ diàn huà gěi tā 。
甲：打长途电话很花钱，是吗？
jiǎ ：dǎ cháng tú diàn huà hěn huā qián ，shì ma ？
乙：是的，可那是值得的。
yǐ ： shì de ，kě nà shì zhí de de 。
A: Emma, does your daughter live together with you?
B: No. She is now living together with her grandparents in Dalian.
A: Do you miss her?
B: Of course, I do. She is so cute. Whenever I miss her, I give her a call.
A: It costs a lot of money to make long distance calls, doesn't it?
B: You, but that's worthwhile.
Dialogue 3
甲：弗雷德，这个周末你能抽出时间跟我们去卡拉OK吗？
jiǎ ：fú léi de ，zhè gè zhōu mò nǐ néng chōu chū shí jiān gēn wǒ men qù kǎ lā OK ma ？
乙：恐怕不行。周末我必须与我的妻子和儿子一起度过。
yǐ ： kǒng pà bù xíng 。zhōu mò wǒ bì xū yǔ wǒ de qī zǐ kǒng pà bù xíng 。zhōu mò wǒ bì xū yǔ wǒ de qī zǐ
甲：真是一个住家男人。
jiǎ ： zhēn shì yí gè zhù jiā nán rén 。
乙：随便你怎么说。可是我觉得那是值得的。
yǐ ： suí biàn nǐ zěn me shuō 。kě shì wǒ jué de nà shì zhí de de 。
A: Fred, can you take time to go to Karaoke with us this weekend?
B: I'm afraid I can't. I must spend my weekend with my wife and son.
A: What a family man !
B: Whatever you say. But I think that's worthwhile.
