Dialogue 1
甲：玛莉，昨天我给你打电话，可是打不通。
jiǎ ：mǎ lì ，zuó tiān wǒ gěi nǐ dǎ diàn huà ，kě shì dǎ bù tōng 。
乙：对不起。我的电话坏了。
yǐ ： duì bù qǐ 。wǒ de diàn huà huài le 。
甲：怪不得电话线路总是忙线。
jiǎ ：guài bù dé diàn huà xiàn lù zǒng shì máng xiàn 。
乙：我已经给电话公司打电话了。他们会把它修好的。
yǐ ： wǒ yǐ jīng gěi diàn huà gōng sī dǎ diàn huà le 。tā men huì bǎ tā xiū hǎo de 。
甲：我希望时间不会太长。否则我会跟你失去联络的。
jiǎ ：wǒ xī wàng shí jiān bú huì tài cháng 。fǒu zé wǒ huì gēn nǐ shī qù lián luò de 。
乙：别担心。不会太久的。
yǐ ： bié dān xīn 。bú huì tài jiǔ de 。
A: Mary, I tried to call you yesterday, but I couldn't get through.
B: I'm sorry. My phone was out of order.
A: No wonder the line was always busy.
B: I've called the telephone company. They'll repair it.
A: I hope it won't take too long. Otherwise I'll lose contact with you.
B: Never mind. It won't be long.
Dialogue 2
甲：客户服务办公室。要我帮忙吗？
jiǎ ： kè hù fú wù bàn gōng shì 。yào wǒ bāng máng ma ？
乙：是的，我的电话坏了。找谁可以帮助我？
yǐ ： shì de ，wǒ de diàn huà huài le 。zhǎo shuí kě yǐ bāng zhù wǒ ？
甲：我们会处理这件事。请问您的电话号码是多少？
jiǎ ：wǒ men huì chǔ lǐ zhè jiàn shì 。qǐng wèn nín de diàn huà hào mǎ shì duō shǎo ？
乙：2239817。你们什么时候能修好呢？
yǐ ： 2239817。 nǐ men shén me shí hòu néng xiū hǎo ne ？
甲：三天之内。
jiǎ ：sān tiān zhī nèi 。
乙：好吧。谢谢你。
yǐ ： hǎo bɑ 。xiè xie nǐ 。
A: Customer Service Office. May I help you?
B: Yes, my phone is out of order. Where can I go for help?
A: We'll take care of that.May I have your phone number, please?
B: It's 2239817. When can you get it repaired?
A: In about there days.
B: All right. Thank you.

甲：请问我能用一下你的电话吗？

甲：你知道最近的公用电话在哪儿吗？
jiǎ ： nǐ zhī dào zuì jìn de gōng yòng diàn huà zài nǎ er ma ？
乙：街对面有一个。
yǐ ： jiē duì miàn yǒu yí gè 。
A: May I use your telephone, please?
B: I'm sorry, but my phone is out of order.
A: Do you happen to know where the nearest pay phone is?
B: There is one across the street.
