甲：约翰，你昨天看电视了吗？
jiǎ : yuē hàn ，nǐ zuó tiān kàn diàn shì le ma ？
乙：没有。我的电视机坏了。
yǐ : méi yǒu 。wǒ de diàn shì jī huài le 。
甲：怎么回事呢？
jiǎ : zěn me huí shì ne ？
乙：嗯，当我接通电源时，它不出图像了。
yǐ : en ，dàng wǒ jiē tōng diàn yuán shí ，tā bù chū tú xiàng le 。
甲：你最好让人修一下。
jiǎ ：nǐ zuì hǎo ràng rén xiū yī xià 。
乙：我想是的。我不想错过好的电视节目。
yǐ ：wǒ xiǎng shì de 。wǒ bù xiǎng cuò guò hǎo de diàn shì jié mù 。
A: John, did you watch TV last night?
B: No. My TV was broken.
A: How is t hat?
B: Well, when I switched it on, It didn't show a picture.
A: You'd better have it repaired.
B: I guess so. I don't want to miss good.TV programmes.
Dialogue 2
甲：汤姆，今晚我能在你这儿看电视吗？
jiǎ : tāng mǔ ，jīn wǎn wǒ néng zài nǐ zhè er kàn diàn shì ma ？
乙：没问题。你的电视机怎么了？
yǐ :
méi wèn tí 。nǐ de diàn shì jī zěn me le ？
甲：嗯，我的电视机上星期坏了。
jiǎ : en ，wǒ de diàn shì jī shàng xīng qī huài le 。
乙：真糟糕。你应该让人修一下。
yǐ : zhēn zāo gāo 。nǐ yīng gāi ràng rén xiū yī xià 。
甲：我一定会的。不然的话，我就看不上世界杯足球赛了。
jiǎ ：wǒ yí dìng huì de 。bù rán de huà ，wǒ jiù kàn bù shàng shì jiè bēi zú qiú sài le 。
乙：我理解。
yǐ ：wǒ lǐ jiě 。
A: Tom, can I watch TV at your place tonight?
B: No problem. What's wrong with your TV?
A: Well, my TV was broken last week.
B: That's terrible. You should have it fixed.
A: I definitely will. Otherwise, I'll miss the World Cup football match.
B: I see.

甲：史密斯先生，我可以用一下你的复印机吗？
jiǎ : shǐ mì sī xiān shēng ，wǒ kě yǐ yòng yī xià nǐ de fù yìn jī ma ？
乙：对不起，我的复印机坏了。
yǐ ：duì bù qǐ ，wǒ de fù yìn jī huài le 。
甲：出什么问题了？
jiǎ : chū shén me wèn tí le ？
乙：纸夹进复印机了。
yǐ : zhǐ jiā jìn fù yìn jī le 。
A: Mr. Smith, can I use your copy machine?
B: I'm sorry, but it was broken.
A: What's wrong?
B: Paper has got jammed in it.
